In 2009, Marcus premiered the Concert For A Green World…here’s a recap.
Sustaining & maintaining our mind, body, & soul are a part of a Green lifestyle. Tai chi, yoga, dance, drumming, and other martial art forms are great ways to keep the balance.

Our daily lives
Are filled with too much compromise
Too many choices
Too few good decisions
Live in a desert, must need air
Live in the cold, must need heat
Both choices cause the grids to peak
Billions of people
We all have to eat
Not enough animals or plants
To provide real or fake meat
There are plenty of fish in the sea
But they’re all mostly already poisoned like you and me
Between the toxic oil spills
The refinery collapses
A nuclear reactor explosion
And constantly soaring prices
We’re all just awaiting
The next great catastrophe
Aside from the planet warming
Glaciers melting into the sea
Birds & fish caught up and ensnared
By the floating islands of recycling debris
This all looks bad on man’s legacy
Our rap sheet says plenty
I know not of any plants nor animals
Who are otherwise guilty
If we look in the mirror
And believe what we see
It’s we who are responsible
And must acknowledge our crimes against nature
Until we atone
The price we’re going to pay
For our life’s loan
Is more than the world’s total GDP
Mortgaging the future
For an over-inflated present
With no regard for the past
This is unsustainable
There’s no way it can last
If not for you or I
Think about all other lives
All actions make a difference
Every decision counts
Every second, minute, hour,
Day, month, year
Mankind makes its presence known
Yes, we were here!
What’s next, the final frontier?
We’ve been to the moon
So I’m guessing Mars is next
It seems to have already been targeted
By earth’s most notorious plunderer
Come on Universe…restore the order!
In 1896, a seminal paper by Swedish scientist Svante Arrhenius first predicted that changes in atmospheric carbon dioxide levels could substantially alter the surface temperature through the greenhouse effect. In 1938, Guy Callendar connected carbon dioxide increases in Earth's atmosphere to global warming.

Fossil fuels
Fossil fuels – coal, oil and gas – are by far the largest contributor to global climate change, accounting for over 75 per cent of global greenhouse gas emissions and nearly 90 per cent of all carbon dioxide emissions. As greenhouse gas emissions blanket the Earth, they trap the sun's heat.

When did humans start polluting the earth?

Some would assign it to the start of agriculture 11,000 years ago, while others tie it to the advent of the nuclear era in 1945, but most recognise the Anthropocene as beginning with the industrial revolution (1780s-1830s).Feb 11, 2015
