1. STAGE, LIGHTING & SOUND
A. A stage for performance that must be a minimum of twenty-four (24) feet deep from down stage edge to upstage wall, and a minimum of thirty-two (32) feet wide from stage right (not including wings in the instance of a proscenium theater). The stage must be flat, not raked, and must be smooth and stable. For outdoor performances, stage (including all instruments and equipment) must be completely covered by a suitable and stable roof with wings in order to protect ARTIST and equipment from the elements to ARTIST'S satisfaction.
B. A professional audio augmentation system capable of providing clear, non-distorted, evenly distributed audio throughout the audience area and microphones and monitors as provided in the attached stage plot and technical specifications, and an engineer to operate said system for the full sound check and performance.
C. A separate audio system for stage monitoring, and an engineer to operate it.
D. 4 (4) floor monitors with seven (2) separate mixes, each one located at drum set/percussion, vocalist, and dancer.
E. An adequate professional stage lighting system with a standard assortment of lighting gels and an operator.
2. DRUM REQUIREMENTS: (Marcus L Miller, drummer is a Remo, Istanbul, EV, Innovative Percussion, & Rhythm Tech Artist)
A. Brand: DW Jazz Collector’s series
Sizes: 20” Bass Drum, 15” Floor Tom, 10” Rack Tom, 14" x 51/2" Snare Drum
B. Hardware: Four (4) DW cymbal stands with boom conversion, DW 6000 series Hit-hat stand w/clutch,
DW Airlift drum throne or equivalent, DW 9000 series Double Bass drum pedal or equivalent.
3. DANCER REQUIREMENTS: (Tamica Washington-Miller & the Lula Washington Dance Theatre)
A. Raised dance floor (non concrete) [minimum 10’x10’ maximum 30’x30’] on a non-proscenium stage.
B. Alternate option parquet dance floor minimum 10’x10’ maximum 20’x20’.
4. VOCALIST REQUIREMENTS: (Maiya Sykes)
A. Raised platform with rug on top
B. High back stool
C. Music stand
