On Saturday night October 8, 2022, the Bayou came to L.A. Marcus L. Miller’s Afro-Fusion Project featuring Big Chief Shaka Zulu performed their debut set for a packed house at the William Grant Still art center. The music is a blend of World/Afro Beat grooves with the distinctive vocal chants inherent to the New Orleans Black Masking Indians tradition.
